2. Be professional, respond quickly
It's important to consistently ensure that Verbling students have a great experience with you as a teacher, so always remember to maintain a high degree of professionalism. Most importantly, make sure to respond quickly to incoming requests and messages from your current students.
3. Attend all classes and arrive on time
It's important to maintain a 100% attendance rate and to avoid unscheduling and requesting to reschedule. Of course, unforeseen circumstances do occur, but as a rule, please keep attendance at 100% and keep unscheduling and rescheduling to a minimum.
4. Make every effort to help
New students might encounter technical difficulties. Please be patient and utilize the steps in our troubleshooting article to help them solve the issue. If all else fails, encourage them to contact Verbling Support at support@verbling.com .
5. Retain your students
Learning a language takes time and requires persistence. To help your students in their language learning journey, encourage your students to take lessons as frequently as possible. Try to turn your lessons into a habit for your students and always suggest a next lesson.
6. Provide a reason for any lesson change
If you cancel, request to reschedule, unschedule or make any other change to the lesson, it is required that you communicate with the student and explain why you are making the change in the box provided.
Annex 1. Community discussion forum guidelines
Forums have been named to reflect their purpose and intended use:
Students' Lounge: Visible to everyone (students & teachers); this forum should be used for general discussions related to language learning etc.
-
Specific Language Lounges (e.g. English, Español etc.): A place for teachers and students to interact in the target language, provide interesting information, material etc.
Teachers' Lounge: Visible to teachers only; to be used for asking other teachers for advice, teaching tips etc. If you have any concerns regarding company policy/procedures, please allow the Verbling staff to address them directly, either by reaching out to Teacher Operations (teacheroperations@verbling.com) or Verbling Support (support@verbling.com); this lounge is not the place to air any such concerns.
Making negative or disparaging remarks about Verbling or its staff in these forums is in strict violation of our Teacher Code of Conduct and will NOT be tolerated; such actions may lead to warnings, removing access to forum posting and/or account deactivation.
For any questions or concerns related to the teacher background check process, please contact Teacher Operations.
For all technical/payment issues or any other questions or concerns related to the Verbling platform itself, please contact Verbling Support.

Frequently Asked Questions
1) The mom/dad has given their permission and is always present during the lessons... Can I teach children under 13 in this case?
No, absolutely no teaching of children under 13 is permitted on Verbling. Parents may use the lessons for themselves, if so desired, or write to support to request a refund.
2) What does "parental consent" for minors 13-17 mean? Do they need to sign something?
No; if they are using the platform as a 13-17 year old, it can be assumed that it was created with their parents' permission and therefore the responsibility falls to them; however, you may ask them directly as well if you suspect otherwise.
3) I've been with this student for a long time and they really want to continue with me... Can I continue with them outside of Verbling?
You will not be penalized by Verbling for continuing classes on another platform that allows under-13s, if the parents expressly request this.
