There is a lot to discuss, add, agree and disagree with when it comes to language teaching methodologies. The below guided presentation is a brief introduction to some of the most used and most current methods that can be applied to any target language. Just the tip of the iceberg, if you will.

There are plenty of videos on YouTube that show how to put each of the methods into practice in the lesson. You might need to tweak some of these practices in order to fit a 1:1 online teaching context, which is usually pretty straight forward.
