My messages won't load properly and/or I cannot connect to my teacher on Verbling Video. What do I do?

Are you or your students experiencing the following problems?


1) You try to connect with your teacher using Verbling Video, but can neither see nor hear one another. Instead, you both are notified you are in the lesson but waiting for the other to arrive.
2) New chat messages do not appear in your/your teacher's messages until you reload/refresh the page.

If so, this problem is related to last month's internet-wide DDoS attack, which brought down websites like Twitter, The New York Times, and more.

To fix these problems with Verbling Video and/or messages, you will need to configure your network settings to use Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8). To do so, please follow these steps.
